Thomas Rand – Inmate Penpal #042817-1934
April 28, 2017 ¤ Male Inmates Age 51 +
I was born and raised in New York City, and in my teen years I was heavily involved in music. Although I grew up in Church, I wasn’t saved until I came to prison. In 2009 I was ordained into the ministry and in January of 2011 I was accepted in the C.I.U. Bible Program for 2 years. I graduated in December of 20122 and received my Associate of Arts Degree.
I am furthering my education by taking classes with the Hobe Sound Bible College to receive a B.A. in Christian Studies. I am also writing a detective novel in hopes of getting it published. Since I was blessed to receive a $40,000 education for free, I have attempted to give back by holding classes and teaching courses in Bible Studies, counseling and mentoring young men who are struggling in life. Upon my release, I plan to continue to mentor and teach and maybe be involved in Evangelistic work.
I love reading, writing, preaching and teaching. I hope to one day find a place of leadership in a Church to use the gift that God has blessed me with. I am hoping to some day meet someone who also loves God and will not judge me according to my past, because the past doesn’t necessarily define who a person is now.
Please help share me on Facebook and Twitter!
