August 9, 2013 ¤ Male Inmates Age 31 - 35, Prison Penpals Serving Life
To you that’s reading this…
I want to say hello and I hope that this short story of myself captivates you in a way that you would want to get to know more of me.
For days I’ve wondered what should I say to someone that I don’t know. Even now as I write this I struggle because I don’t want to say things that might offend someone. But I’ve learned that you can’t make everyone happy. That’s just how it is. Do you agree?
There are different aspects which make me who I am. My dilemma is deciding which aspects of my life to share cause I don’t know you yet. What about you?
My name is Dwaine. I’m 34 years old, 6′ 5″ tall, 240lbs. brown complexion, short wavy hair and a smile that could part the clouds. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Then I moved to Peoria, Illinois where I made my home.
I love sports, especially basketball. But I’m very passionate when it comes to music. R&B (ballads) from the 70’s to the 90’s. I feel R&B music from back then is a way to the soul, and teaches you also how to treat a woman. That music showed a person like me that I had a loving and caring side that was buried under all the things I didn’t have to be.
I want you to know that I’m loyal, respectful, trustworthy, charismatic and sincere. I’m someone that has learned how to put others before self. A great listener I am. Consoling others is something that’s become part of me.
Maybe sharing some of the aspects of myself would be easier than sharing the pain that I feel from being in prison. Sharing the frustration of not having family and good people in my life through my trials and tribulations is new to me, but it helps to share it.
Everything that I’ve said so far comes from me reaching down in my soul which is a place of hurt and loneliness. The core of my being cries out for someone to journey with me across the bridges of communication.
I’m seeking a female friend that is honest, open-minded, loving, caring, non-judgmental and willing to try new things. Honesty is very important to me. So is communication, because without it there can’t be any understanding. Are you the social type? Do you have a favorite color or flower? Which aspects of yourself will you share with me? I hope that you share them all.
I’m looking for that soul that yearns to share an experience of true companionship. Someone to openly correspond with knowing that she’ll listen even if she doesn’t understand. Someone that will ask questions, even if they may be right or wrong. Someone that’s looking for stability and tranquility. Someone that believes in second chances. Please know that I’m more than the sum of my worst moments in life.
Something I want to explain is accountability to murder. While I didn’t kill anyone, I was however just as responsible as the person who did commit the murder. Which isn’t fair I think.
I hope that by the time you’ve finished reading this, you let what I’ve said nurture your heart and soul. I’m hoping with what I’ve shared captivates your interest. Should you decide to let our correspondence blossom, I assure you it will prove satisfying.
Being that I have more to share and offer, I thank you in advance for an opportunity to commence a new chapter in both our lives.
Please help share me on Facebook and Twitter!
