Hello World. My name is DeJuan, but those near and dear to me call me Dino.

I hail from Houston, Texas. I am 6′ 3″ and weigh a very athletic 235lbs. I consider myself very health concious – but not a health junkie! Like to stay active through strength training and cardio about 4-5 times a week. I just recently started exploring the realm of yoga and I honestly thought it would be easy since women do it… Boy was I wrong!

I’m a very laid back, easygoing type of guy who prescribes to an optomistic view on life. I feel there is a sliver of good in any bad situation, but most don’t see it because they’re attuned to negative thats so prevelant.

I was raised by two goal oriented parents and they so graciously passed it down to me early on in life and that characteristic still thrives in me to this day. I’m a big believer in loyalty, one; because its rare these days and two; its rooted in integrity and is the foundation of meaningful, long lasting friendship/relationships.

Other traits I value in myself and others are character and intellect, for they are the two poles of our capacity; one without the other is but halfway to happiness.

I come from an athletic family background, so I’m naturally a sports fan. Some of my favs are of course my hometown Texans, Rockets and Astros. I also am a fan of the Chicago Bears, Bulls and White Sox; as I’ve frequented Chicago over the years.

I actually played in school and was quite good, but I ended up losing interest as I got older. Since my incarceration I’ve become and avid reader. I’ve taken a liking to mysteries, thrillers and some romance as long as its not too mushy.

Outside of novels I read select authors of philosophy and psychology cause I like to understand why we think and do the things we do. I also read a lot of self-help.

I profess the ideology that once time is lost it can never be regained, so while I have it at my disposal I seek to use it wisely in my endeavor to be a better me. Enough about me for now though.
