Michael Gasaway – Prison Penpal #071713-0154
July 17, 2013 ¤ Male Inmates Age 31 - 35
My name is Michael Ray gasaway.
Hopefully somebody that sparks interest in my profile will allow me the opportunity to share with them on a deeper level of who I am, and be willing to show me who they are as well. There’s only so much I can say in a short 800 words, but I’ll do my best to be as efficient as possible.
Number one, after my 30 years alive I’ve realized honesty is the only true foundation that will keep a friendship together. A lot of people try to paint false images of who they are in order to attract people, or they’re just sacred that others won’t accept them for who they are.
I think everyone at some point in their life fell to this. But, mentally maturing as a man, I would rather lose someone in my life by being real then to try to keep them by being fake. Everyone is different and has a distinguished personality that makes them unique. Maybe something I do or say you’ll disagree with, but eventually a credibility, trust and respect will be established with the realness.
They say the truth hurts. But really, lies kill. I’m looking for someone who wants to build, starting as friends. Being themselves, I mean it doesn’t matter to me if you’re white, black, Hispanic, oriental, skinny, fat, short or tall. Those things don’t mean anything when compared to a real foundation beginning as friends.
I’m interested in a change. Someone who didn’t grow up like me, differences aren’t a bad look. Really, a complete opposite of me is what I’m interested in. Because it leave us a lot to learn about. Metal & magnets are opposite, but they stick together!
I’ve seen people in relationships have too much in common and they get tired of each other fast. I’m looking for a deep connection, not artificial. We can talk about anything. Our thoughts, feelings on things going on in the world, anything.
If your down with a frown, I’d like to be able to put a smile back on your face. There are many days in here that I could use the same blessing from you. I know letters are a lot more sincere cause we take our time, put thought & feelings into how we respond to each other.
I want someone to write me the way they would a diary. Share your struggles, your joyful moments, your confused roadblocks, together we will learn about each other by our life experiences to develop a concrete foundation, this way the friendship isn’t a temporary thing, yet a permanent companionship.
Now let me be honest. I’ve had several female friends and the hard part losing them was seeing the fact that we always rushed into love, without really knowing each other. People are so quick to call each other boy/girlfriends and to say they love each other, when they don’t really know the person fully.
Most are so desperate for that kind of acceptance and passion because it’s a great thing to love someone. But it’s never gonna last if its not developed correctly. We fail to see that friendship is the core foundation to love. Maybe a friendship won’t develop into a deeper relationship, if its not meant to be, at least you’ve found a friend and that alone can be more real and stronger than a rushed commitment of love.
I said all that because I’m looking for someone real. Of course I want to love someone, but I understand where I went wrong in my past commitments. I have a deep heart and a sharp mind, and I hope to share it with someone who are feeling my points of view.
As for a quick demo of myself; I’m half Hispanic and half white with a little Cherokee in there. I am a work-out fanatic. I gained a lot of weight and finally said it’s time to stop. I went from 260lbs. to 190lbs. in two years. Now I’m building muscle. I enjoy drawing. I’m from Dallas/Fort Worth. That’s right, GO Cowboys!
I love to feed my brain knowledge, so I read a lot. I like ancient Egypt, Aztec-Mayan, Roman, the study of religion and anything to do with history. I am up for parole in October 2013, but I discharge in 2015 regardless. So at most I have only two years left. That’s plenty of time to get to know each other, if you permit.
I promise to always be about progress and honesty. Oh yeah, this picture I am posting here is not a very good one of me. I was still out of shape then. I think they were taken in 2004. I can’t get another picture right now because my unit doesn’t seem to take any in visit anymore.
If you’re looking at my file and curious or wondering if you and me could work, if I would be interested in you, stop thinking so much. I’m the one locked-up, just write me and see for yourself if I am for you. Just promise to be yourself and I’ll do the same, that way we accept each other for who we truly are.
I’ll be waiting. Be safe and God Bless! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Please help share me on Facebook and Twitter!
