Lakeith Debrow – Inmate Penpal #030813-2056
March 8, 2013 ¤ Male Inmates Age 31 - 35, Prison Penpals Serving Life
“Dimmed lights, don’t shine bright.”
The things I once had, I have no more. I have no more friends, girlfriends, etc. And there are times when I feel like I have no more family members on the outside, due to abandonment.
I’ve found it to be true that, “nobody wants you when you’re down and out.” But. I’ve also learned that, “there’s somebody for everybody and everybody needs somebody.”
Most people look down on prisoners, they feel like we’re unworthy of a chance or we’re those savage animals that the media portrays us to be. And there are times when I feel like I’m nobody, but I know I’m somebody.
I may be imperfect, but nobody’s perfect. Just because I’m in prison, doesn’t mean I’m a bad person. In friendship, I give my all, so in me, you’ll have a true friend till the end.
My friendship consists of; love, trust, honesty, loyalty and respect. All I’m seeking is friendship and possibly more with someone who’s real, indiscriminate and knows the value of true friendship.
If nothing at all, at least drop me some words of encouragment, for it’ll give me strength to fight this loneliness, and this unjust judicial system that’s keeping my world so dimmed.
“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” – Proverbs 17:17
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
