I consider myself a fairly normal guy who got himself into a really bad situation.

I made some really stupid decisions while drinking and it cost me more than I could ever have imagined. I ended up in prison! Not to imply that I was perfect before this, I had my share of problems in life, But I never thought I’d end up here. Anyway, more details about that when you write.

The worst thing about prison, is the idle time and boredom. On the outside, I remember thinking I never had enough time in a day. It seemed like I was always busy and there was always more stuff to get done. I would give anything to have that problem again. Here, its the opposite. Trying to find ways to occupy my mind and get through each day until I can leave here. Thats one reason

I was born in Iowa, where my parents were attending Parsons College.

My father was from Philadelphia, PA. My mother was from Miami, FL (born in Milwaukee, WI). We moved to Miami to be with my grandmother.

My father was a computer clerical worker. My mother was a special education teacher. My father died in 2010. His probate finally ended in Oct. 2011, and my mother and I moved to Kissimmee to be near Disney!

I love everything Disney. When I was married we practically lived at

Hello distant friend!

My name is John and I’m sincerely posting this in hopes of obtaining someone to share a brief thought with from time-to-time.

I believe strongly in the fact that everyone needs someone. “People need people”.

I also believe that just because of a mistake, that someone should not have to suffer from loneliness, boredom and limited contact with others.

I don’t think that inmates are given the basic human respect that all of us deserve and need.
