Oren DiPierro - Inmate Penpal I am 40 years old and much different than the person who came to jail nearly 16 years ago.

In less than four years I’ll be rejoining society; but one much different than I left in 1997. Early in my incarceration I began to prepare myself for release by gaining an education and a trade.

I’m a paralegal. I was lucky enough to find something I love and I’m good at. I enjoy fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves. I suppose I can relate to the feelings of vulnerability that come with being an underdog in a fight against the government.

I believe in vindicating the rights of those who would be otherwise taken advantage of. But despite the satisfaction I gain from this, it doesn’t cure the loneliness of prison.

I post my personal information here in the hopes that someone who appreciates good relationships would consider me as a penpal.
