Prison Inmate Penpal is a part of the Inmate Outreach Program of St. Michael Outreach Ministries. Prison Inmate Penpal by listing an inmate Bio and contact information by subscription as provided by the inmate, assists the general public (must be 18 years or older to contact any inmate) in locating an inmate who he/she wishes to communicate with on a personal level. All inmates listed have chosen to receive and welcome the communications from pen-pals from the general public. It is our goal that the relationship between the inmate pen-pal and the public pen-pal be positive, compassionate, supportive and constructive. Helping the inmate through the development of compassionate supportive relationships. This can enable the inmate to obtain a greater benefit from their rehabilitation so they may return to society as positive, productive members of society reducing the chance for them to become a repeat offender.
Many prisoners, as a result of bad choices they had made and the circumstances which led to their incarceration, have found themselves alienated and abandoned by friends and family members. Combining that with the isolation and confinement that prison life brings, can result in a very negative effect making proper mindset and successful rehabilitation extremely difficult for the inmate. Writing an inmate (must be 18 years or older to contact any inmate) can provide hope. It can help to break the constricting mental barrier that results from incarceration, leading to a more positive way of thinking and widening their perspective. Positive relationships can help the inmate understand that better choices can be made and by making better choices can lead them to a happier, more fulfilling life for the remainder of their time served and when they are released back into the public. Your effort and time spent developing a pen-pal relationship, can be a key factor helping them to facilitate those positive changes.
Prison Inmate Penpal is a part of the Inmate Outreach Program of St. Michael Outreach Ministries. Our funding comes from the inmate profile subscriptions and donations through our ministry. We are not funded by or contracted for service through any local government, state government or federal agency. This works for both new pen-pals like you and for inmates who need to benefit from the service we offer.
