Jason Holmquist – Inmate Penpal #010914-0435
January 9, 2014 ¤ Male Inmates Age 36 - 40, Prison Penpals Serving Life
My name is Jason and I’ve been incarcerated for over 11 years.
I’m a down-to-earth person — peaceful, honest, and respectful. I’ve made mistakes and suffered hardships. However, those experiences have made me a better, more compassionate man.
I have two sons, ages 13 and 15. They are so important to me and give me hope. I love them dearly. Family is so very important to me.
I’m looking to correspond with anyone who shares my likes, goals and dreams. I am open-minded, and seek someone with whom to write and listen to.
I lift weights, play softball and volleyball, and grow vegetables in the prison garden. I enjoy listening to music and would like to know what type of music you enjoy. Tell me about your likes and dislikes, your experiences.
I try to stay busy, working at my prison job 7 days a week. I got my GED and have completed many rehabilitative programs, including a certificate in legal research. I also participate in religious programs, going to Quaker meetings and studying Sufism.
For fun I work on crossword puzzles, exercise, read and write. I hope to council at-risk youths once I am released. I’m looking to contribute to society and to help others to not make the same mistakes I have.
I’d love to hear from you — tell me about your accomplishments, your struggles, your hopes and fears, or tell me anything you’d like to share. Talk to you soon.
Please help share me on Facebook and Twitter!
