Lawrence Atkins – Inmate Penpal #102013-0739
November 16, 2013 ¤ Male Inmates Age 51 +, Prison Penpals Serving Life
Hi. You’re reading some of me – Larry (short for Lawrence) – which I hope will give rise to contact by you in that you too might have and want to share, say or discuss things as I do.
Although prison life here in Texas is bearable, outside contact with others can and does make a huge difference and is longed for always. Friendships, Fellowships, Pen Pals, someone to just talk to means so much.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After High School and some travels, I moved and started over in Austin, Texas. As my travels and adventures involved things mostly related to the great outdoors (i.e. snow- and water-ski, motorcycles, hike & bike, some hunting and even some deep-sea stuff), Houston had to end, thus Austin begin, as it’s quite the outdoor town and community. As I had very much enjoyed music as well, Austin had most all the above. Life was great again a long time, then I got hooked on drinking…the party life…thus some great losses, one now being my freedom.
I pursue DNA to one day exonerate and clear my name on this, but Texas and the courts can be and are a great challenge as you may have read or know on other such exonerations so far, not only in Texas, but nation-wide. It’s tough and it can take years. A good-yet-bad system. Until such times, I would like to know and chat with you, if you would choose. I’m very open and a sharing sort. Firm yet easy and even sentimental at times. To converse or chat, to learn or discover or just be a Pen Pal or friend in some way would be most welcomed.
I am very skilled, talented, and a diverse, open-minded person, still in great health and can share a lot on all. I’ve got a lot of experiences and insights on a variety of things, if it would interest you and you too may have such?
Unfortunately, the Texas prison system allows us only the U.S. Mail to communicate with any and all. There are no computers or internet access for Texas inmates. Should you choose to write, I would enjoy hearing from you. Will you drop me a line?
May your days be good, and life itself. Hope I’ll hear from you. My pen is idle awaiting the moment I get your letter. My photos are the real and true me, but I’m down due to all this. Hope you might lift my spirits to this level again. I’ve been lowly, contact is good for the soul.
Seeking someone who cares, kinda alone.
Larry
