Darrell Alexander – Inmate Penpal #121612-1049
December 16, 2012 ¤ Male Inmates Age 36 - 40
“Friends” – That’s the one word a lot of people don’t understand.
A friend is someone that shares your short comings as well as your success. They don’t judge you, they help. They believe in you when you don’t believe in yourself. They give you constructive never degrading criticism.
Yes I’m in prison but does that make me a bad person? No, but it sure gives me time to observed myself and find the real person I am. Nothing worth having in life is easy and its how we choose to deal with it that make as difference.
So take many pictures, laugh too much and love like you’ve never been hurt – because every sixty seconds you spend upset, is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back. Don’t be afraid your life will end, be afraid it will never begin.
We get so caught up in our life that we forget the joy it could contain. A friend is someone valued, not taken advantage of. It’s a journey and we should enjoy it.
In the environment I live in, I try to find happiness wherever I can. I’d love for you to be a part of that happiness.
Darrell.
