I am 40 years old and much different than the person who came to jail nearly 16 years ago.

In less than four years I’ll be rejoining society; but one much different than I left in 1997. Early in my incarceration I began to prepare myself for release by gaining an education and a trade.

Although prison life here in Texas is bearable, outside contact with others can and does make a huge difference and is longed for always. Friendships, Fellowships, Pen Pals, someone to just talk to means so much.
